Library Lock on Front Door Broke/Got Busted In

I've been back in Kabul for a month now. Over the election weekend, our library lock on the front door broke.

You would have to kick it pretty hard to bust it up like this. But nothing seems to have been taken. The security folks reported it and put a piece of white sticky paper (like what we use for book labels) over the door and dated it. They left it unlocked, of course.

So I unlocked the bolt and re-screwed in the bolt to the other side. It was then that I saw that it didn't just 'fall out'.

So our facilities guys fixed it later that day.

  7. Safe Trekking , Hiking and Tours routes after earthquake in Nepal
Nepal is still safe for travel after devastating earthquake of 25th April 2015 and 12th May The tragic misfortune occurred in Nepal during peak trekking season and it has adversely affected some of the touristic sites in Nepal. Them mean things are slowly going back to normal in Nepal after earthquake. Places in and around Central Development Region in Nepal. Were affected badly but other touristic sites have been unharmed. Nepal is heaven for touristic activities and tourism is one of the big major industries and second big industries. There are still lots of safe trekking routes after earthquake in Nepal.
We Could,t suggest you not to go for trekking in Langtang Region, Manaslu Region, Ganesh Himal Regions , Makalu Regions, Rowling Regions and Everest Region for at least a month. The landslide after earthquake has blocked the path at several points and government is working its best to resume the route as fast as they can. Also, many of the houses in these regions including the infra- structure have been either completely or partially destroyed by earthquakes. Everest Base Camp had misfortune of being hit by avalanche in which many people were recorded to be deceased. And many guest house and local house destroyed.
Annapurna Region is safe for trekking after -earthquake. It would not be wise to go for trekking package with longer itinerary as there will be difficulty in arranging for accommodation and food. So, we were to recommend to you, all visitors we would be suggesting you to go for Ghorepani Poonhill trek ,Mardi Himal trek ,Annapurna Panoramic trek, , Annapurna base camp trek, Jomsom trek, Annapurna Circuit trek, Upper Mustang trek , Dolpa Trek, rara lake trek, Royal trek and Sarangkot Hiking Many of our visitors are still helping in relief efforts and we are receiving increasing number of tourists each day. We are regularly organizing fixed departure tours and trekking to villages and we are contributing as best as we can with the relief efforts.
Safety of our clients comes first. Hence, we are recommending this trek only after our staff members and guides visited this area and confirmed about the route, teahouses and other facilities.
Tourism is one of the largest industries in Nepal and it will play the key role in its recovery. We can assure you that there will be no cancelled trip in Annapurna Regions
